  1. Hi, I'm sure you get many requests for assistance as your sewing is incredible but any help you can give would be very much appreciated! I have very recently started sewing my own clothes - well attempting too and I feel quite competent in sewing skirts for myself and even dresses for others but I am having the hardest time making a top or dress for myself. I have read through nearly all of your blog in the last couple of days and seen that you usually need to make a FBA on your tops/dresses. I wondered if you have any pearls of wisdom for making a large FBA as my waist to bust difference is in excess of 12 inches which I can't seem to find help with. Do you have recommendations for 50's style dress patterns that are suitable for such a large FBA? I was reading through a book about making your own pattern and when drafting a bodice piece the front was almost 3 times the size of the back piece and I can't see a way to actually take it in at the waist without having horrendous amounts of excess fabric at my waist which I really don't want.

Like I say, I know you're busy and probably get loads of requests but if you could help then my email is lindseyashford [@] googlemail [dot] com.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Lindsey

  4. I LOVE the 4th of July dress. So cute. You should continue to make holiday dresses. The sundress coordinates perfectly for this holiday.

  5. Hi! I love reading your blog - but I'm having trouble getting it loaded. Just a tip - not a criticism - if you take the counts off your labels (you have so many!), in the sidebar, your page will load more quickly. Because the counts compute every time the page is loaded, which takes some time :-)
